40年以上のキャリアで、BBC交響楽団、グラインドボーン音楽祭、トロント交響楽団の主要ポストを歴任し、現在はメルボルン交響楽団とリリック・オペラ・オヴ・ザ・シカゴの首席指揮者を務めるイギリスの名匠アンドルー・デイヴィス。ベルリオーズの「序曲集(CHSA5118)」、「イタリアのハロルド(CHSA 5155)」、「ロメオとジュリエット(CHSA 5169)」と名盤を送り出してきたアンドルー・デイヴィスによるベルリオーズ没後150周年リリース。ヘロデ王の幼児虐殺と聖家族の避難を題材にしたベルリオーズの大作、独唱、合唱と管弦楽のための宗教的三部作「キリストの幼時」が登場。数々のオペラハウスでも実績を残すアンドルー・デイヴィスの手腕、ロデリック・ウィリアムズやアンドルー・ステイプルズ、マシュー・ブルック、サーシャ・クックといった豪華ソリストにも注目です!
