透明なサウンドで奏されるパーセルのオペラ

1992年設立のオランダの古楽アンサンブル、ラ・スフェラ・アルモニオーサ。CHALLENGE CLASSICSレーベルからは初のリリースとなります。古楽ソプラノの名手、ゾマーをゲストに迎え、いくつかのパーセルの歌劇からアリアと器楽曲を抜粋しプログラミングしたアルバムです。透明感のある響きと表現の幅広さが印象的。アルバムタイトルの「白鳥が近づいてくる時に奏されるシンフォニー」は『妖精の女王』の中の1曲です。
