Personnel: Reggie Young (guitar, sitar); Bobby Wood (piano); Bobby Emmons (electric piano, organ); Gene Chrisman (drums); The Sweet Inspirations (background vocals). Not only is this Dusty's finest work, it is unanimously acknowledged as one of the great soul albums. The secret is in the production. Jerry Wexler, Tommy Dowd, and Arif Mardin enlisted the Sweet Inspirations and the best Memphis session boys for vocal support. Dusty's selection of material is exemplary, choosing songs by Randy Newman, Mann/Weill, Goffin/King, and Bacharach/David. This should have made her an international megastar; instead it scraped the US Top 100, failed to chart in the UK, and started her slow decline. It is a faultless record on which we have, thankfully, now recognized she was far too ahead of her time for her own good.

素晴らしい。ベスト盤では見えなかったダスティのソウルフルかつ優しさの溢れた歌声にノックアウトされた。後世に残すべき大名盤！

イギリスの国民的シンガーと行っても良い彼女がメンフィスに渡り1969年に製作された（但し歌入れはＮＹとの事）稀代の名盤。アーシーさとソフト・ロック風味が絶妙に混じりあったサウンドと彼女のホワイト・ソウル風味の声が見事にマッチ。バリー・マンやゴフィン＆キング、ランディ・ニューマンなど作家陣も素晴らしい楽曲を提供と、非の打ち所のない内容を誇る名盤。
