B３ハモンドをジャズの中に大胆に取り入れグルーブさせる、後のソウルミュージックにも影響を大きく与えたであろう傑作。ザ・キャットに比べ派手さはないものの、そこは鉄板のブルーノート。正にミッドナイトをスペシャルにする夜中に聴きたいクールな一枚。
