BOB DYLAN、〈The Bootleg Series〉の第9弾を10月にリリースか?

今年3月に行われた来日公演でも健在ぶりを見せつけたボブ・ディランが、過去の未発表音源をまとめた〈The Bootleg Series〉の最新作を10月にリリースする模様だ。

これは米メディア〈Rolling Stone〉が報じたもの。同シリーズの第9弾にあたる本作には、彼の活動初期にあたる62年から64年のあいだにNYのスタジオでレコーディングされた音源がコンパイルされる予定。コアなファンから〈Witmark Demos〉〈Leeds Demos〉と呼ばれているデモ・トラックを含んでおり、“A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall”“The Times They Are A-Changin'”といった彼の代表曲のレア・ヴァージョンがついに日の目を見ることとなりそうだ。収録予定曲は以下の通り。

また、ディランはデビュー作『Bob Dylan』から67年に発表した『John Wesley Harding』までの8枚のアルバムをセットにしたモノラルCDボックスの発売も計画しているという。こちらにはオリジナルLPの音源が使用される予定で、モノラル版のCD化はこれが初となる。ツアーにリリースと、精力的な活動を続ける彼に今後も注目しよう。
