Healing Music Project: Bliss brings together the Relaxation Company's usual guest list of holistic-minded musicians for a soothing set of tracks inspired by new age sensibilities and music for relaxation. Bliss' eight contributors -- artists such as Brian Scott Bennett, David Darling, Silvia Nakkach, and Dr. Janetta Petkus -- bring different therapeutic methods to their work; Petkus is a pianist and Ayurvedic clinician, Nakkach is a singer and psychologist, and Darling's a cellist and music educator. While their resumes are notable, it's important for the music to be just as memorable, and Bliss delivers. Sounds range from gentle, echoing sitar or contemplative piano through to the whooshing opener, "Journey," and the earthy acoustic strums and nature effects of "Prelude and Lullaby for an Old Tree." ~ Johnny Loftus
