すっかりスリムになって帰ってきたミッシー姐さん、通算4枚目となる大ヒット・アルバムがこちら。今回もティンバランドとの完全連携体制で、あのクセになるビートを随所で展開。ミッシー自身もラップ／歌を行き交う相変わらずのマルチっぷりだ。なかでも先行曲“Work It”では、オールド・スクール風味のビート／スクラッチなどを採り入れつつもフューチャリスティックに聴かせるという荒技に成功。

'Under Construction' is the fourth album from producer/rapper Missy Elliott. Joined by long time collaborator Timbaland, the album fuses abstract hip hop beats with quirky samples and Missy's unique vocal style. Backed up with guest vocals by Jay-Z, Method Man, Beyonce Knowles and Ludacris, the album also features a tribute to Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes recorded with the surviving members of TLC.|
