異論は多々有るとは思うけどあえて断言する。コレがポップミュージック史上最高傑作だと思う。声、歌唱、楽曲、演奏、メロディ、編曲、アルバムの構成など全てがパーフェクトなアルバム。僕はコレ以上のポップミュージックは聴いた事が無い。僕が無知なのか認識不足なのかもしれないけど…洋楽に抵抗感が無くソウルやブラックミュージックに偏見の無い全ての良いポップミュージックを聴きたい人にお薦め。だけど最高の作品を挙げろと言われればコレだけど一番好きな物を挙げろと言われれば違う…

what`s going はなるほど素晴らしいイシューとテーマ性を持った文化的政治的に記念碑的な作品だとは間違いなく思うが、何より重要なのは軽やかで神秘的で楽しい音楽の世界である。what's going onの歌詞は正直言ってマーヴィンゲイのあの音楽がなければ陳腐な詩だが、あの軽やかなメロディーになったことで言葉で言い表せない説得力を持っている
