From song one on his mostly self-produced debut album, Myron successfully attempts to return R&B to its origins--live soul music. As some of the R&B legends did before him, Myron sang in the church choir, as well as playing drums and keyboards. All that early training served him well, as Myron delivers a solid album. The Fender Rhodes and classic organ sounds that run through "So Fly" fit perfectly with the laid back, in-the-pocket rhythm of the drums. "Destiny," written and produced by Tyrice Jones from Stonecreek (Boyz II Men's production team), is also featured in the film WOO. On "We Can Get Down," vibrato guitar and deep soulful bass permeate the steady groove, while the guest spot from Spindarella (Salt N Pepa) adds spice. A talented singer-songwriter, Myron successfully combines modern programming textures with vintage sounds, showing his talents as a composer and scholar of music.
