While the Sugar Hill Gang's seminal track, "Rapper's Delight," has dated a bit since it was first released in 1979, it's important to remember its cataclysmic impact on music. It wasn't the first rap song and it wasn't the best, but when "Rapper's Delight" broke through to the airwaves, it put rap music on the map and started a revolution.
