This is vintage BTO from the glory years, recorded for the King Biscuit Radio Hour on March 8 of 1974 in Chicago. The punters get six classic tracks, with decent sound quality of rocked-up faves like "Takin' Care of Business," "Let It Ride," and "Roll On Down the Highway." There is a version of "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" to close it as well -- before the obligatory King Biscuit interview segment (with Randy Bachman of course) -- but it comes from a different gig. ~ Thom Jurek|

Bachman-Turner Overdrive's King Biscuit Flower Hour was recorded in 1974 at the peak of the band's popularity, and it features solid live versions of such staples as "Let It Ride," "Roll on Down the Highway," "Takin' Care of Business," and "You Ain't Seem Nothing Yet." BTO wasn't an exceptional live band, and their music often sounded better in the studio than it did on-stage, but this live show is still a nice souvenir for dedicated fans, especially since it contains a new, previously unreleased interview with Randy Bachman. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
