Like the first volume in the How to Cut & Paste series, this one is a combination DJ-technique workshop, hip-hop compilation and adolescent joke-fest, all of it provided courtesy of England's most Jewish DJ (with maybe the exception of Dan Greenpeace, with whom DJ Yoda has collaborated on such classic albums as Jews Paid and Jewbonics). The formula is proving to be remarkably consistent: an assortment of A-list rappers (in this case they include A Tribe Called Quest, Alkaholiks, the Beatnuts and the Pharcyde), scratched-up and funkdafied vintage jazz (Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday) and puerile humor, some of which is really funny and some of which really isn't. Even John Cleese makes a second appearance, on the hilarious "Rhubarb Tart." But the best moments are the mini-megamix consisting of classic reggae tracks from the likes of Don Drummond, Hopeton Lewis and the Cimarons, and the "80s Pop Megamix" consisting of more-or-less classic tracks by the likes of Rick Astley, Hall & Oates and Taylor Dayne. Wu Tang Clan don't embarrass themselves either, coming in and batting clean-up at the end. Nice stuff. ~ Rick Anderson|
