This is an excellent compilation featuring 25 Jerry Lee Lewis original Sun recordings from 1956 through 1962. No matter what type of material Lewis covered he had the natural ability to truly make it his own, as heard on volume two of this set released by the European label SAAR. The Killer covers rhythm and blues ("What'd I Say," "Little Queenie," "Drinkin Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee") alongside country and folk standards, like "Cold Cold Heart," "Frankie and Johnny," and "Crazy Arms." Also included are the classics "Breathless," "High School Confidential," "It'll Be Me," and "Lewis Boogie." SAAR has also released the Sun story on several single discs that are of equally high value. ~ Al Campbell|
