Mary Mary is made up of two young sisters who write and sing together in a style that melds pop, R&B, and a touch of hip-hop with a spiritually oriented lyrical message. Their 2000 debut turned many heads, but the follow-up INCREDIBLE proved to be the one that broke the duo in a major way. The chirpy synths and bubbly groove of "God Bless" meld perfectly with the optimistic nature of the lyrics, perfectly illustrating the template with which Mary Mary meshes the corporeal with the spiritual. And when Erica and Tina take on the harmonically sophisticated climes of the Stevie Wonder-penned "You Will Know," the pair's musical smarts really come to the fore.
