Euro trance spinner and remix artist DJ Encore shows he has more strings to his bow than his involvement with the satin-smooth Engelina with this extended collection of dance platters chosen and mixed by the funky Dane himself. All the cuts on ULTRA DANCE 02 bear the unmistakable, grandiose stamp of Euro disco; some of them, such as Moby's "We Are All Made of Stars" will be familiar to even the most peripheral clubber, while others, notably the left-field remix of Yoko Ono's "Open Your Box" (originally the B-side of John Lennon's "Cold Turkey") will come as a pleasant, if mildly shocking, surprise. Of course there's the obligatory Dirty Vegas "Days Go By" remix and DJ Encore's own "See Right Through To You," both of which come high in the ear candy stakes, but it's tracks such as the Chemical Brothers' "Star Guitar" and 4 Strings' "Take Me Away" that provide the true aural high spots here.
