商品の紹介

The aptly titled Speed Garage collection compiles over a dozen tracks that are representative of the short-lived style. Though most of the artists on here never attained much commercial success, Speed Garage does have a few noteworthy contributors, including the Artful Dodger and Craig David ("What Ya Gonna Do"), Robbie Craig ("We Can Make It Happen," "Special," and "L.O.V.E. Feeling"), and MJ Cole ("Dark"). While these artists all made the jump from speed garage to 2-step in the early 2000s, most of the artists on this collection didn't. Thus, many of this compilation's featured artists and, surely, many its tracks will no doubt seem obscure, even to the most seasoned dance listener. Obscure or not, however, Speed Garage serves well as a sampler of the style, giving you an idea of what U.K. garage sounded like before it became 2-step. ~ Jason Birchmeier|
