An authentic classic of its era. True, an ex-porn star, wasn't much of a singer, but she could coo with the best of them, and her previous job experience definitely added an extra little bit of frisson to the package, which, musically speaking, was otherwise pretty standard post-"The Hustle" disco fodder. The double entendre title song was all but ubiquitous throughout 1976, and although True never had a comparably anthemic follow-up, several of the tracks here--particularly "New York, You Got Me Dancing"--were significant club hits. And without her pioneering efforts, we probably wouldn't have had albums by Heather Hunter or Traci Lords.
