Early Life Crisis is the debut studio album from Richmond, Virginia rapper Nettspend, following his 2024 mixtape Bad Ass F*cking Kid, and continuing the distorted, overpowering production style of that release. Over the course of the albums 21 tracks, Nettspend blasts through AutoTuned flows, glitchy jerk production, and intense beats that often incorporate darkly dreamy synths and floods of bass. Like minded rapper OsamaSon contributes a verse to the scrambled "Pain Talk" and YoungBoy Never Broke Again makes an appearance on "Masked Up." ~ TiVo Staff

While Early Life Crisis attempts to trade in excitement, Nettspends repetitive flows and one-dimensional personality make the album quickly grow tedious. After a few of these interchangeable tracks, all of the fun drains out of the music, leaving behind a numbing, interminable slog of noise.
