This double-disc captures live recordings of a very interesting band. The Company of Snakes is a group composed of musicians who were all members of the "classic" lineup of Whitesnake. The group performs almost exclusively material that they wrote with that band, and it sincerely smokes. Although they do not have vocalist David Coverdale in the lineup, Stefan Bergren amply handles the vocal chores. This disc should be a big hit with Whitesnake fans, of course, but its appeal should really be a lot wider than that, stretching into all hard rock fandom. ~ Gary Hill|
