Studiously gazing into the camera while leaning cross-legged against an unmade bed, the cover shot of AMOR SECRETO is one offshoot of dreamy Luis Fonsi's trip towards inheriting Julio Iglesias' crown as Latin music's premier crooner. Nibbling away at swivel-hipped phenom Ricky Martin's fanbase, Fonsi uses his third outing (whose translated title means Secret Love) to seduce with an image steeped in a sensitive guy persona two steps from being a heartbroken lover. The former bandmate of a pre-N Sync Joey Fatone really turns on his charm with vulnerable odes like "Tu Puedes Salvarme" ("You Can Save Me") and the alluring title track. Elsewhere, the native born Boriqua taps into a vein of vulnerability with the heartbreaking "Quisiera Poder Olvidarme De Ti" ("I Wish I Could Forget About You"), "Irresistible" and "Me Lo Dijo El Silencio" ("The Silence Told Me"). At twenty-two, Luis Fonsi is well on his way towards taking his place alongside superstar peers Ricky, Marc and Enrique.
