The hot sound of Latin music has filtered into the gospel music arena with the release of More More More from Fred Hammond protege Joann Rosario. Rosario's debut release, which falls under the umbrella of Hammond's new label venture, F. Hammond Music, contains some of the same sassiness that has helped Latin pop/R&B counterpart Jennifer Lopez become a household name. Those who follow gospel music closely may be familiar with the project's beautiful title track "More, More, More." It first appeared on Hammond's 2001 multi-artist compilation project In Case You Missed It and Then Some.... Another ballad that is sure to make its mark is the Yolanda Adams/Fred Hammond-penned charmer "As We Overcome." Rosario displays her bilingual skills on the groove-filled, Latin-influenced track "Follow Me/Sigueme." For some pure, unadulterated funk, Rosario delivers the goods on "Serve You Only." If that isn't funky enough, try on the song's remix for size. More More More is urban music at its level best. ~ Tim Smith
