These albums highlight the band's mixture of originals and classic Western swing, jazz, and honky tonk material, not to mention the unique baritone vocals of Ray Benson. The cover versions alone are worth the price: Count Basie's "One O'Clock Jump," Louis Jordan's "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens," Nathan Abshire's Cajun shuffle "Pine Grove Blues," and Randy Newman's "Louisiana 1927." ~ Al Campbell
