These savvy young gents from Los Angeles have incorporated a variety of influences on CAMINO PALMERO for a hitbound sonic ride that will appeal to several camps of listeners. On the one hand, there's the voice of appropriately named Alex Band, which lands somewhere in between Creed-like declamation and Third Eye Blind modern pop. The rest of the band similarly pitches its approach in a free-trade zone where breakbeats, hard-edged guitars, sparkling pop melodies, and folk-rock-derived arpeggios all coexist without conflict. It doesn't hurt matters that the Calling has a knack for hook-laden songwriting, as evidenced by everything from the up-tempo opening cut "Unstoppable" to the delicate ballad "Could It Be Any Harder."
録音 : ステレオ (Studio)
