Recorded live at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, this solo set by pianist-vocalist Dave Frishberg has the earliest versions of his humorous "Can't Take You Nowhere" and "Zoot Walks In," spirited remakes of "My Attorney Bernie" and "Sweet Kentucky Ham," and such enjoyable instrumentals as medleys of Frank Loesser and Irving Berlin tunes, in addition to "Drop Me Off In Harlem." A well-rounded set, the CD version adds an Irving Berlin medley and a version of "I'm Hip" to the original LP program and gives listeners a strong sampling of the talented Dave Frishberg. ~ Scott Yanow
