Liner Note Author: Lee Hildebrand. Greatest Hits covers only Fat Larry's Band's releases for the Stax and Fantasy labels -- a period that spans 1977 through 1980. Therefore, it lacks "Act Like You Know" and "Zoom," two of their best singles, which were released for WMOT and Omni. This does function as an adequate summary of the period covered, with the charting singles "Peaceful Journey," "Boogie Town," "Lookin' for Love," "Here Comes the Sun" (not a Beatles cover), and "How Good Is Love" all included. As of 2014, an anthology that covers the band's entire career had yet to materialize, but this is a decent consolation. ~ Andy Kellman
