Originally conceived as a fan club-only release available solely over the Internet, the album embraces everything from Kiss-style heavy rock to a cover of David Bowie's "Suffragette City" and a protest song for gay service personnel ("GI Josephine"). The sleeve notes come in the form of a notebook telling the story behind each song with a frankness that is normally rare to find in the music business.
