Although they have released a number of worthwhile albums, it appears at times that Ark 21 is determined to milk its association with the Police for all its worth. First, there were two pretty good (but not great) reggae albums, and now there's Outlandos D'Americas: A Rock en Español Tribute to the Police, which contains nothing but Spanish reworkings of classic Police tunes. To the average Police fan, this may sound a little ridiculous, simply because hearing Sting's lyrics translated can be disarming, but there are actually some good reworkings here -- however, they may be more of interest to fans of Spanish rock. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine|

Outlandos D'Americas｜CDアルバム
意外なめっけもん、ポリスのラテンカヴァー集。あくまでも「ポリスのナンバー」をメインで集めているのであって、スティングのナンバーはラストの１曲だけというのが良い点だ。オリジナルが良いのか、アレンジが秀逸なのか、とにかく久々に気分のいいカヴァー集。オープニングも捨て難いけど、Track9がベスト。スティングはともかく、ナタリー・マーチャントやアラニス・モリセットの前座を務めるとは、さすが！
