Another volley of fine French house, with the majors' interest in Shazz raised in the acclaim which followed the release of his eponymously titled debut long-player for U.K. proponents of audio couture, Distance. With close to ten years of recording behind him for respected labels that have included F Communications and Yellow, the change of employer has had little effect on Shazz's slick musical menagerie in an album which drifts easily between authentic disco through sly, wah-wahed funk and deep house. An array of vocalists add further sparkle to some enjoyable instrumentals, live percussion, and some well-thought-out string arrangements, enriching one of the more well-rounded Gaillic dance albums. ~ Kingsley Marshall
