The Decadance label's triple-disc Higher State of Trance collection compiles many popular trance songs from 2000 and 2001. Though none of the songs were chart-topping hits, a few of the songs were quite ubiquitous during the early 2000s, particularly Felix da Housecat's "Silver Screen Shower Scene" (an odd inclusion since it's far from trance), Freefall's "Skydive," and Delerium's "Innocente." The first of three discs is mixed, while the latter two aren't; moreover, it's worth noting that many of the compiled songs are remixed. ~ Jason Birchmeier
