The majority of Uriah Heep's live albums over the years (LIVE, KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR PRESENTS, etc.) are from tours the band undertook in the early 70s. And there's a reason why--the band was at the top of their game and they were still fronted by the duo of Mick Box (guitar) and the late David Byron (vocals).
The band had just honed their mystical prog-metal to perfection, and LIVE AT SHEPPERTON '74 shows once and for all that the band was at their most consistent on the concert stage during this period. Although the tracklisting duplicates many of the same selections on the aforementioned live releases, you can't go wrong with such Heep staples as "Easy Livin'", plus a rock n' roll medley that contains "Roll Over Beethoven/Blue Suede Shoes/Hound Dog/At the Hop".|
