The SONGS 4 WORSHIP series has proved to be one of the most successful entrants into the Christian music market, and it's only natural that the Christmas volume should be just as successful as its predecessors. There's no mainstream rock crossover here, no thrashing guitars and spike-haired singers stridently expressing their faith. Instead, this disc takes a more traditional approach to the delivery of sonic spiritual statements. Vocal groups such as the Integrity Worship Singers and the Women of Faith Worship Team, championing the old values in music as well as in spirituality, take up the mantle here, delivering such well known Christmas hymns as "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and "Holy Lamb of God" with a distinct sense of commitment and undeniable vocal skill.
