A retrospective of aural works over the last 25 years by the Ghent-based Logos Duo based on their search for spiritual locations around the planet: Shifts is a wonderful computer-generated rhythmic study like a gamelan playing Western pop music, Man-Mo is a collage of temple bells, running water and other location sounds, Jonas is a strange chromatic piece for church organ, ShSh collages cricket noises (the shsh-sound), chanting with bells and other location sounds; Fuga Momento is an odd chromatic piece where tuned instruments keep losing their tuning; AlviCeba is a strongly dramatic piece for strings; Fuga Otto Nove is a complex, giddy canon for synthesized acoustic instruments; the computer in Spring '94 generates both global instructions and specific events which the composers liken to elements at struggle during springtime. ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny
