Ideal for any sporting event, Fan Jams: A Collection of Stadium Fight Songs is a nearly ideal compilation of songs designed to get crowds stoked. With hip-hop novelties like Run-D.M.C.'s Aerosmith collaboration "Walk This Way," Tone-Loc's "Wild Thing," and House of Pain's "Jump Around," the set is bound to get attendees pumped. Rock inclusions by Twisted Sister ("We're Not Gonna Take It") and Billy Idol ("Mony Mony") are equally good, although Queen's iconic "We Will Rock You" is represented here by an inferior take on the song by Dramarama. While the project was released in conjunction with Fox Sports, listeners could do without the "NFL on Fox Theme." Such criticisms aside, this is project worth picking up if you're involved in local youth sports or you just want to get excited during the tailgate before the big game. ~ John D. Luerssen
