Whereas REO Speedwagon's 1980 compilation, A DECADE OF ROCK N' ROLL: 1970-80, focused on the band's early "craft-honing" years, the follow-up collection, '91s THE SECOND DECADE OF ROCK N' ROLL, features REO's chart-burning highlights from the '80s. There is a difference in format between the two anthologies--the first was strictly the original studio renditions, while SECOND DECADE is a mixture of studio and live renditions. Still, it's the only REO collection to include their '82 hit "Keep the Fire Burnin'," and also features such standouts as "Take It on the Run," "Roll with the Changes," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "I Do'wanna Know," and a "'89 Reggae Version" of "Keep on Loving You."
