カリフォルニア大学のアーカイヴに残された未発表音源集『The Alien Territory Archives: A Collection of Radical, Experimental and Irrelevant Music from 1970s San Diego』。

浮浪者の作曲家であり、ハーモニック・カノン等の自作楽器の発明者でもあったハリー・パーチと、カリフォルニア大学サンディエゴ校（UCSD）に新設された実験的な音楽学部にフォーカスしたコンピレーション。1999年にMusicworksのコンピレーションでリリースされたKenneth Gaburoの「Noyse」と、アーティストから直接購入できるWarren Burtのトラック数曲を除き、本作に収録されているトラックはすべて未発表。70年代南カリフォルニアの異端的音楽家を通してUS実験音楽を捉えた逸品。
