ADHD 2 is the third album from rapper Joyner Lucas and a sequel to his 2020 debut studio album, ADHD. Throughout the album, Lucas flexes his skills for technical flows and intricate lyricism, often exploring themes of mental distress, issues arising from a troubled upbringing, and generalized anxieties and frustrations. The production is clean and bold, with instrumentals that are charged but always controlled serving as the perfect backdrops for Lucas multisyllabic flows, with tracks like the no-nonsense "One of Them" and the synthy pop hooks of "Tear Me Down" standing out as especially crisp. In addition to a long list of guest stars stopping by, such as Big Sean on "Active," T-Pain on the 80s-informed "Hate Me," and blackbear on "Anxiety Wins," the songs on ADHD 2 are segued by dramatic skits that include appearances from Denzel Washington and Kevin Hart. ~ TiVo Staff
