商品の紹介

2009's Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine's debut The Audacity of Hype established that Biafra was back in a big way, benefiting from his first real band (instead of collaboration projects) since Dead Kennedys' 1986 split. Blowing bits and pieces of previous work into a manic punk/post-punk/metallic assault, the posse pours it on again on this six-song successor. The first four songs are such a frenzy that Biafra's display of ire, insanity, intensity, intelligence, and irascible irritability feels like being beaten by an outraged club, albeit with a trademark lampooning penchant. His takedown of religion as a mainstream science denier and political bludgeon is sidesplitting on "Invasion of the Mind Snatchers," and his dark satire of ex-Georgian congressman (and prime Clinton impeacher) Bob Barr, Jr. as a Viagra superman is as rich. His indignation over San Francisco gentrification ("Dot Com Monte Carlo") and Iraqi Veteran’s post-combat suffering ("Victory Stinks") is plain sobering, and the diseased, 18-minute spoken word and blues/experimental/noise hidden track, extrapolating on the Deviants "Metamorphosis Exploration," is as mind-blowing as the latest culture-clash collage poster. ~ Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover
