At first glance, this attractive quintet from New Jersey may seem like a carbon copy of Destiny's Child, but after a quick listen to Sunday's debut, you know that the band is something a little different. Sunday is a remarkably mature debut, with each of the group's members displaying amazing gospel-influenced vocals. Along with its considerable vocal gifts, the group also wrote most of the material on the album. Many of the tracks on the album were produced by R&B heavyweights like Rodney Jerkins and Soulshock & Karlin, and feature the right mix of hard beats and sweet harmonies. Tracks like "I'm Taking Your Man" and "I Know" are irresistible dancefloor fillers while slower ballads like "Everything's Alright" hit all the right emotional chords. With this impressive debut, Sunday blends the swagger of youth with the confidence of a veteran. ~ Jon Azpiri
