ドミートリー・ショスタコーヴィチ(1906-1975)没後50年を記念してCAPRICCIOの名演が3つのBOXにて復活!

ショスタコーヴィチは、交響曲や室内楽で広く知られており、人気のある組曲や映画音楽の一部も耳にする機会は多くあります。しかし、彼の管弦楽伴奏による歌曲はあまり演奏される機会がありません。比較的広く親しまれているのは1949年に、ソビエト連邦の自然改造計画の一環でおこなわれた植林事業を讃えるために作曲されたオラトリオ「森の歌」あたりでしょう。このアルバムでは、そんなショスタコーヴィチの知られざる名作の数々を、ミハイル・ユロフスキが指揮するケルン放送交響楽団による演奏で紹介しています。同オーケストラは、これまでにもセミヨン・ビシュコフやルドルフ・バルシャイといった指揮者のもとで、ショスタコーヴィチ作品の豊かな演奏伝統を築いてきました。
他にもテノールと管弦楽のための「日本の詩による6つの歌曲」や、バスと管弦楽のための「ミケランジェロの詩による組曲」、「ユダヤの民族詩より」などの作品が収録されています。
