Beat Records Company Publishing Groupは、Universal Music Publishing Ricordi、Emi Music Publishingと共同で、エンニオ・モリコーネによるスコアをフィーチャーした映画『ドル箱三部作』の第2作『夕陽のガンマン』のオリジナル映画サウンドトラックの60周年記念コンプリート・エディションを発表。
マエストロ・ファン、そしてセルジオ・レオーネの映画ファン、音楽ファンから最も待ち望まれていたスコアのひとつであるこのプロジェクトは、Beat Recordsのアーカイブからスコアが発見されたおかげで、ついに誕生。
クリント・イーストウッド、リー・ヴァン・クリーフ、ジャン・マリア・ヴォロンテが出演したセルジオ・レオーネ監督のこの傑作の生誕60周年を祝うにふさわしい、 RCAのオリジナル・アルバム・プログラムと未発表曲を収録した、66分に及ぶ純粋なモリコーネ・ウエスタン・サウンドを聴くことができる。
