The soundtrack to the second season of the animated steampunk series, 2024s Arcane: League of Legends features more of the moody, bombastic anthems the show is known for. Set within the long-running online game universe League of Legends, Arcane has built its own fan base by expanding upon the characters and storylines from the game. It also garnered acclaim, including a 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. Along with the shows striking visuals, the producers embraced an equally ear-popping musical sound, matching dark orchestral themes with contributions by an array of alt-pop and rock artists. Season 2 ratchets up the theatrical drama, kicking things off with the Teutonic wallop of "Heavy Is the Crown," featuring Linkin Parks Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong. The rest of the soundtrack follows suit, moving between more introspective tracks like Freya Ridings "I Cant Hear it Now" and King Princess "Fantastic," and exuberantly high-energy alt-metal and hip-hop cuts like ZANDs "Cocktail Molotov" and the Tom Morello, Stray Kids, and Young Miko-collab "Come Play." As with the first season, also included is Imagine Dragons and JIDs main theme "Enemy."
