    Personnel: Tom Carter (guitar). Photographer: Luis Diaz. Carter, known to most for his work with Charalambides, has released a two-LP set under the SHOTS AT INFINITY title intended as companion pieces. INFINITY 1 is comprised of long, droning stretches of delay-affected guitar that capture a hidden sense of melody. The tracks were recorded in various basements but sound as if they were tinkered with diligently in a candlelit studio--the work of a meticulous manipulator of his instrument. It's a stirring confluence of John Fahey-inspired acoustic imagination and elevated ambience.
