This promotional live album was recorded at the Bottom Line Club in New York City on October 16 and 17, 1976, four months after the release of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes' debut album, I Don't Want To Go Home. Fellow Asbury Juke graduate Bruce Springsteen had gotten a career boost by appearing at the 400-seat club in 1975, and Southside got considerable radio play from this limited edition, which featured songs from the album, as well as some notable rock & roll oldies. The Jukes were a bar band, and the Bottom Line is a bar. This is the next best thing to being there, and if you open a cool one and close your eyes, it's just about the same. ~ William Ruhlmann
