Ronstadt sings Dolly Parton ("I Never Will Marry") with the same conviction as the Rolling Stones ("Tumbling Dice"), and she manages to update Roy Orbison ("Blue Bayou") and direct attention to the caustic, fledgling singer/songwriter Warren Zevon ("Poor Poor Pitiful Me" and "Carmelita"). Simple Dreams (40th Anniversary Edition)｜CDアルバム

リンダ全盛期の77年作品。
バディ・ホリーの ”It's So Easy” とロイ・オービソンの ”Blue Bayou ” が大ヒット。
ほかにもストーンズ、J・D・サウザー、ウォーレン・ジヴォンなどロックなライター陣が豪華。
このあと80年代、リンダはニューウェイブ～ジャズに行ってしまうので元気なリンダが聴けるのはこの次のアルバムまで。

夢はひとつだけ｜CDアルバム

個人的には彼女のアルバムでベストです。
イッツ・ソー・イージー、カルメリータ、ブルー・バイユー、ダイスを転がせなどご機嫌な曲ばかりです。
