ヤナーチェク生誕170周年
歌劇『ブロウチェク氏の旅』待望の新録音!
初演から1世紀。
プラハ劇場管弦楽団&同オペラ合唱団が"再演"!!

今年(2024年)はレオシュ・ヤナーチェク(1854-1928)の生誕170周年です。スヴァトプルク・チェフの小説に基づいて作曲されたヤナーチェクの歌劇『ブロウチェク氏の旅』の初演から1世紀となった今、スプラフォン・レーベルから待望の新録音が登場します!

当作品はヴァーツラフ・ノイマン指揮、プラハ国立劇場管弦楽団(1962年録音)、フランチシェク・イーレク指揮、チェコ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団(1980年録音)、いずれもスプラフォン・レーベルからリリースされた名盤がありますが、1920年の初演を務めたプラハ劇場管弦楽団&オペラ合唱団が2021年に"再演"したのが当録音。初演から1世紀。パンデミックの中、主人公ブロウチェク氏以外はダブルキャストにし、同じ劇場の合唱団、オーケストラがプラハのルドルフィヌムで記念碑的録音を成功させました。

主人公のマチェイ・ブロウチェク(ブロウチェク氏)は食べ物とビールが大好きな単純な世界観の持ち主。酒に酔ったブロウチェク氏が月に飛ばされ、その月に住む芸術至上主義者たち(ブロウチェク氏は異質なものや慣れないものすべてを疑い、芸術家や知識人を嫌悪する)とひと悶着を起こす第1部「ブロウチェク氏の月への旅」と、再び酔っぱらったブロウチェク氏が15世紀のチェコでフス戦争に巻き込まれる第2部「ブロウチェク氏の15世紀への旅」という2部構成の連作歌劇。時間と場所を超越するSF的発想もユニークですが、音楽も独創的で完成までにほぼ10年の歳月を費やした第1部は、美しい調べが醸すファンタジーが秀逸です。

ヤナーチェクはこの作品をチェコスロバキア共和国の初代大統領トマーシュ・ガリッグ・マサリク(1850-1937)に献呈。聖ウェンセスラス、シャルル4世、そしてチェコの歴史上の偉大な人物を登場させる中、嘘つきで飲んだくれのブロウチェク氏を主人公とする歌劇を大統領に献呈しているところもヤナーチェクの皮肉めいた作品であることがわかります。

指揮のヤロスラフ・キズリンクはヤナーチェク音楽アカデミーで合唱、指揮を学び、1992年からブルノ国立歌劇場の指揮者を、2001年から首席指揮者となり同年から2003年まで音楽監督を務め、2001年、2003年の同団の来日公演でも演奏しております。主人公を見事に演じたヤロスラフ・ブジェジナをはじめチェコの錚々たる歌手たちが出演している、同曲の新名盤が登場しました!
