Joy to the World: Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree is a Reader's Digest-branded compilation that features a vocal group singing holiday chestnuts. But don't take Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree literally. It includes the title track, prettied up with a glockenspiel and flutes. And there's no "Run Run Rudolph" here, or other holiday faves from the days from the early rock era. Instead, you have rather standard vocal versions of "We Three Kings," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Silver Bells," and even "Auld Lang Syne." Still, despite this comp not delivering directly on its title, it holds up the heartwarming feel of this series. ~ Johnny Loftus
