Better Off Alone is the fifth full-length album from American rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie, following 2022s Me vs. Myself. This record sees the rapper recounting more tales from his life with a focus on his friends and opposition, all delivered with the trademark melodic flows and refined trap beats that have repeatedly scored him hits. Ironically, Boogie is not better off alone, as some of the albums strongest moments are those that include guest contributions, such as the Young Thug-assisted Auto-Tune R&B simmer of "Lets Go Away" and the Future-featuring trap boom of "Somebody." Theres plenty of solo strength on Better Off Alone, though, and Boogie makes the cinematic synthesizer lurch of "Steppas" and the struggling lament of "Did Me Wrong" sound like sparkly pop. The album debuted at the number 18 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. ~ TiVo Staff
