Originally released in 1979 as the title track to Sparks' pioneering, Giorgio Moroder-produced rock-disco fusion album, "The Number One Song In Heaven" was a massive and influential club hit across Europe and America. 20 years after that career highlight, Oglio Records made the song the centerpiece of a lengthy EP. Eschewing the original track for the remake found on Sparks' 1998 orchestral-pop album PLAGARISM, this EP follows that surprisingly impressive reworking of the song with two excellent remixes by Dave Aude-the aptly-named "Heavenly Vocal" mix and the equally apropos "Rubber Dub" mix. The CD concludes with the previously unreleased "Hey Skinny." The multimedia files on this enhanced CD include photos and a video for the title track.
