Full performer name: Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit.
Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit: Col. Bruce Hampton Ret. (vocals, chazoid); Jimmy Herring (guitar); Matt Mundy (mandolin, vocals); Oteil Burbridge (bass, background vocals); Apt. Q258 (drums, talk-box, hydro phase enchantment, background vocals).
Additional personnel: Bela Fleck (banjo); John Popper (harmonica); Chuck Leavell (Wurlitzer piano); Oliver Wells (Hammond B-3); Count Mbutu (congas).
Recorded at Bosstown Recording Studio, Atlanta, Georgia. Includes liner notes by Dick Dienstag (a.k.a. W. Patrick Hinely).
All songs written or co-written by Col. Bruce Hampton, except "Lost My Mule In Texas," "Lives Of Longevity" (Matt Mundy) and "Too Many Guitars," "Trondossa" (David Earle Johnson).
Bruce Hampton, very late of the Hampton Grease Band, has learned to let it all stretch and flow, and, boy, does it flow. This sophomore set is a treat and a half, filled with jazzy grooves that get bluesy and then rocky, only to stand up and toss Bela Fleck out front for a banjo attack on "Too Many Guitars." It's relaxed, smart, fun music with big fat friendly shouter vocals from the Colonel. ~ Steven McDonald
録音 : ステレオ (Studio)
