80年代なかばのイギリスで「シュープリームスのように歌いながらクラッシュのように舞い」ポストパンクやノーザンソウル、モッズなどの垣根を越え広く人気を博した社会派バンド、レッドスキンズが残した貴重なライヴ音源の数々をまとめた企画盤がロンドン・レコードから登場。
レッドスキンズは1982年にイギリスのヨークで結成、モータウンやロカビリー、スカ/パンクなどをミクスチャーしたポップなサウンドとポリティカルなメッセージを武器に頭角を現し、パンクやノーザンソウル、モッズなどの垣根を越え人気を博したレベル・ミュージックのバンド。唯一のアルバム『Neither Washington Nor Moscow』のコレクターズ・エディション復刻に続いて、同時期のライヴ音源をまとめた新たな企画がロンドン・レコードから登場。スペシャルズのジェリー・ダマーズやビリー・ブラッグもゲスト参加した85年の反アパルトヘイト・ツアーと、ロンドンのタウン&カントリー・クラブでの86年のライヴの中から名演を厳選。40頁ブックレットには当時の貴重な写真やコンサート評、メンバーやプロデューサー、関係者の証言などを収録。
